Frappe v11 has builtin capacity to backup to multiple providers like Amazon S3 or Dropbox. But they require little bit of tinkering with both the provider and Frappe settings.

Even though it wasn’t specified on the setup pages, Frappe supports backup to S3 compatible storages like Digital Ocean Spaces. Also, Google Cloud Storage have an interoperability mode. So win-win;

  • Enable interoperability from Google Cloud Storage settings
  • Generate access keys
  • Goto https://{domain}/desk#Form/S3 Backup Settings
  • Use Access Key and Secret from step 2
  • Voila and Done !!
