As a long time lurker of r/unixporn I was amazed at how much people care about the aesthetics of their desktops. Even though I’ve been using Linux on daily basis for a long time, never got into ricing it. After having to move around too much with mouse on Gnome, It was time to try something else. Currently I’ve settled to

  • Ubuntu 18.04 LTS / Manjaro
  • i3-gaps
  • py3status

I’ve been using the above setup for few months now. Other than some new applications popping out of place, things are nice.
